There are 40 geographic “Legislative Districts” in New Jersey. Each district is created to represent “about” the same number of residents.
Each district is represented by one Senator and two Assembly members – a total of 120 legislators.
There are 80 members of the General Assembly (lower house), and 40 members of the Senate (upper house).

The Senate
Here, we’ve broken the Senate down by different criteria, to enable you to create focused lists. For example, if you wanted to send emails to only Senate Democrats. At present, there are 25 Democrats and 15 Republicans.

Here, the Assembly membership is separated by different criteria, to enable focused list use. Example: you wanted to reach only Republicans in the General Assembly. Presently, there are 57 Democrats and 23 Republicans in the Assembly (no “independents”).
